Information for Applicants for the post of Concorde Operations Officer

Brooklands Museum is proud to be the home of both G-BBDG “Delta Golf” the first Concorde to carry 100 passengers at Mach 2 and the world’s only operational Concorde simulator. While these are key elements of our collection, we enjoy giving people as much access to these amazing exhibits as we can. We therefore offer a range of Concorde onboard and Simulator experiences and premium events for Museum visitors, schools, private groups, corporate and hospitality events. We even hold weddings onboard the aircraft.

We are looking to recruit a Concorde Operations Officer to be responsible for the day to day operation and delivery of Concorde experiences and events. The role will also be responsible for refining and enhancing existing Concorde offerings as well as developing new products in order to increase customer satisfaction, visitor numbers and revenue.

We are looking for someone with a clear focus on providing excellent standards of visitor experience, a keen sense of customer expectations, an eye for detail, commercial awareness and strong communication skills. You will also need to be an accomplished manager of teams as you will be responsible for rostering, organising and supervising the team of Concorde volunteers making sure that they are suitably trained and supported.

High levels of professionalism and discretion will be required, and you will need to be able to work just as well on your own, making complex judgment calls, as you do collaboratively as part of the wider Museum team.

You will need to ensure that Concorde operates effectively and seamlessly as part of the Museum’s overall offer and activities. Acting as the main point of contact for all Concorde operations you will need to liaise with multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure the service received by customers is co-ordinated and of the very highest quality at all stages from booking through to delivery.

This is an unusual, demanding and rewarding role and we are looking for a very special person to join us.
